Halls Gap remains untouched by bushfires today. Near Melbourne and  in east Gippsland CFA firefighters continue to battle Victoria's worst fire situation in five years. Please check GSA's Forums General for fires information and use the  hyperlinks in this story to check your personal situation. Road closures are dynamic because of the fires near Melbourne and in East Gippsland. Travel plans should be checked with VicRoads.

Here are some comments from Grampians caravan parks near Halls Gap:

Grampians Gardens Caravan Park – All good now.
Lake Fyans Holiday Park – Business dropped off considerably at the time of the (Grampians) fires but it is picking up again now and looking positive for the future.
Halls Gap Lakeside Tourist Park – All good now.

Parks Victoria provides a full list of open attractions, campsites, picnic areas and roads. MacKenzie Falls is off the walking menu at the moment but there is no smoke in the pretty Victorian Grampians town. There has been none since a fortunate southerly change blew fires away from the town on  Friday Jan 17, Rohan McDonald of Halls Gap Lakeside said.
