New Adria targets niche easy touring caravan market

Adria has released a serious challenger into the niche easy to use caravan touring market.
The European design is aimed right at established Australasian builders and it has strong credentials in build quality, clever design, quality finish, comfort and price.
The new caravan is the 432PX. It is easy towing at 910kg tare weight. It is priced at $29,990 plus on road costs. Options are airconditioner, awning TV and aerial. It comes with ensuite toilet and shower. Gas hotwater service, three-way fridge, three-burner gas cooker, double bed, double glazed windows, 12 volt water pump and fully insulated body.

There is good cupboard space and the fridge, stove and sink are well placed for easy kitchen duty. The big double bed is tapered in the example we saw with a sliding concertina wall which separates the living and sleeping area.
We use a double sleeping bag on the road so making the bed is not an issue for us. But for those who use fitted sheets we will reserve comment on bed making until we have used the new Adria. It is on our to-do list for the near future.
We have just completed tow testing a Hymer Nova 570. Like the Adria and the Geist it uses mechanical brakes and a stablised towhead.

We can now say that pushed to extremes at posted speeds of 100kmh we were unable to find fault with the mechanical braking or well engineered towing stabiliser arrangements.
We spotted the Adria 432PX when we called at Melbourne and European RV's in Wells Rd Seaford, Victoria to hook up the Hymer Nova for a few days of road work.
The Nova 570 is 1565kg in running order. That includes gas cylinder and water tank filled to 90 percent. Around 1700kg is regarded as the maximum laden mass for the Nova. It sells for about $56,000.
We include pictures of the Adria 432PX but at this stage cannot comment on its performance on the road.
