The grass is greener for travellers - Junee Tourist Park discounts and prizes mark no-Stars to 4 Stars 10th anniversary Green grass site Setting-up GoSee Sterling awning at Junee |
There is a good-time ahead for travellers heading for Junee, NSW on Saturday and Sunday and May 30 and 31.
Junee Tourist Park celebrates its 10th Anniversary with discount prices for Top Tourist park members and non-members too, lucky gate prizes, a gold-coin donation barbecue, fun music from Neil and Jane Gilmour, Bush Poems from Neil Smith the Limping Poet and green grass all around.
GoSee is serious about the green grass and so is park owner Peter Mansell who has produced a drought breaker for sore eyes with recycled water.
Peter and Faye took Junee Tourist Park at 2 Sunnyside Lane by the scruff of the neck a decade ago.
It was a no Stars badly run down challenge then. Together their efforts have produced a 4 Star NSW Inland Tourism Award winner which is a leader in the Top Tourist Parks of Australia chain of quality caravan parks.
Faye Mansell told GoSee today that money raised by the gold coin donation barbecue will go to local charity Can Assist.

Faye was a community nurse and Can Assist gives practical aid to cancer sufferers.
Jane and Neil Gilmour, like Peter and Faye, have covered the hard yards with their Forbes caravan park Apex Riverside. They migrated from Scotland in 1980, farmed in the Forbes area and moved to their Top Tourist Park in 1987.
So they will provide a "bit of everything" song-wise to help celebrate Junee Tourist Parks 10th Anniversary. The gate prizes are membership of Top Tourist Parks of Australia and as the chains 2009 Park Directory says the 24 month membership means 10 per cent discount off site or accommodation fees to a maximum of $25 per stay.
Faye says that both members and non-members will enjoy discount accommodation on May 30 and 31. Junee Tourist Park participates in the GoSee Pet Friendly caravan parks listing and carries a GoSee Pet Friendly logo. Dogs are welcome at the managements discretion. Pets are not permitted in the caravan parks cabins.
Disabled facilities are available. The park should be contacted for exact facilities available.
Midway between Sydney and Melbourne on the alternate Olympic Highway route to Queensland. Junee is home to the famous Organic Licorice Chocolate Factory, Railway Roundhouse Museum, and the historic Monte Cristo Homestead only minutes from Temoras Aviation Museum.

Setting-up for overnight at Junee |
Junee Tourist Park's lakeside location is set out on three acres of lush green grass in a quiet, inviting part of Junee. Junee Top Tourist Park has accommodation to suit all budgets, from air-conditioned ensuite cabins to the grassy Recreactional Vehicle camping sites, some of which are drive through.
GoSee stayed with Peter and Faye in March as we hauled the new GoSee Jayco Sterling 23 footer to Canberra after picking it up at the new Jayco factory on the Dandenong-Frankston Rd and then heading for Adelaide via Geelong.
Junee Top Tourist Parks GPS is South 34deg 51.343 and East 147deg 34.352
