Budget Caravan Park Cabin accommodation over 2 nights, in a 1,875 kms GoSee evaluation is $45.35 more costly than towing your own caravan.
The GoSee evaluation at current fuel prices shows towing cost is 17.6 cents per kilometre.
A summary of fuel consumption on the intensive GoSee towing evaluation to Berrima via Canberra 1,021 kms at an average speed of 81 kms shows 14.75 lt / 100 used.
The return trip from Berrima, NSW direct to the Geelong suburb of Belmont, Victoria, in the same windless weather conditions and with the same vehicle mass showed 854 kms at an average speed of 83 kms with 13.5 lt / 100 used.

Andrew Leimroth of DPChip, Berrima reprogrammed the DPChip GoSee put into the the Holden Captiva LX diesel auto 11 months ago to maximize its performance.
It certainly showed up in towing performance (although in the big picture Berrima is at elevation 651m above sea level and Geelong is at sea level, so its down hill all the way south.)
The fine-tuned DPChip Difference is 1.25 lts / 100 kms
So over 1,875 kms that is a savings of 23.4 litres and at GoSee average TravelSmart Fuel Use Spreadsheet cost of $1.23/lt for diesel that is $28.80 (a slab of cheap beer).
Powered site towing versus single vehicle and cabin costs
If the cost of powered sites is factored into the towing equation versus a single vehicle using cabin accommodation the results are:
Towing fuel consumption for whole trip 14.2 lt/100. Cost $330.40 (average $1.24/lt) 2 night powered site $41.00. GoSee stayed at Wymah Valley Holiday Park and Yass Caravan Park. Total $371.40.
