Down-to-earth travel adventure series from Spida and family goes to Hamilton NZ GoSee prize winner

The May GoSee TravelSmart Club free member draw has new prizes which include a series of DVD adventures from the travel TV show The Great Australian Doorstep, hosted by Peter 'Spida' Everitt.

The former AFL ruckman travels around Australia and New Zealand with his wife Sheree and family of four for the show which entertains with down-to-earth travel experiences.

The Great Australia Doorstep DVD Pack valued at A$50 has been won by Neil Mallard of Hamilton. NZ.

The DVD Pack Series 1 discovers the vast Australian Outback and covers the western half of Australia.

Series 2 explores the popular eastern half of Australia. It leaves from Melbourne via the Mornington Peninsula travels across to Lakes Entrance, into ACT then zig zags all the way to the tip of Australia at Cape York. Then its back inland to the vast Queensland outback, finishing up in the world famous mining town of Mt Isa.

Series three covers the high tops of the Flinders Ranges, the Grampians, Snowy Mountains, east coast oceanside towns and as far outback as Richmond and the Dinosaur Trail.

Series four includes New Zealand. With 11 episodes filmed in Australia and five in New Zealand. In Australia the series includes Tasmania's Cradle Mountain, the Wild Western Wilderness, Freycinet and one of Australia's most stunning Beach The Bay of Fires in Eastern Tassie, also the Lockyer Valley, Capricorn Coast, The Long Paddock in Outback NSW.

The Kiwi segments include the stunning Coromandel Peninsula, Hot Water Beach, Whakatane, a live volcano plus iconic Rotorua and lakeside Taupo.

In July 2006 the zoo successfully bred two white lion cubs. Since then Mogo Zoo has developed an internationally recognised white lion breeding program.

The zoo recommends a minimum of two hours for a visit. Visit are best planned to include keeper talks and feeding sessions which start at *10.30 am and 1.45 pm each day. *Times may vary during school holiday periods. Mogo Zoo at 222 Tomakin Rd, Mogo is minutes (10km) south of the holiday water world of Batemans Bay on the NSW South Coast.
