Got a note from Phil. It is from a park bench in Tuncurry, New South Wales about 300km nne of Sydney.
Like Clancy's mate of Overflow fame, while it has not been written with a thumbnail dipped in tar there is an apology that a Tuncurry park perch does not support fine penmanship.
Phil Jones and his partner Alayne Russell are often on the road.

Phil captures his impressions of Australia with a camera. To use a camera well is an art. Cameras see more and less than a flesh and blood artist, but need an artist's appreciation of what its mechanics see to capture and shape the instant.
