Iluka, which is an Aboriginal word for "by the sea", is a charming coastal village at the mouth of the Clarence River, approximately 30 minutes from Yamba, that is favoured by four mild seasons, and best known for good fishing, bird watching, beautiful unspoilt beaches and its World Heritage rainforest. All these and more are for you to enjoy in a friendly and unhurried atmosphere.
The Anchorage Holiday Park in Iluka is close to all tourist spots including the Clarence River and surf beaches.
Iluka is a laid-back fishing village, nestling in a unique location on a peninsula, bordered on one side by the mighty Clarence River and by World Heritage Bundjalung National Park and pristine beaches on the other.
Iluka has many eateries: restaurants at the Bowling and Golf Clubs, a seafood Bistro at Sedgers Reef Hotel and various café and take-away shops in addition to essential shopping requirements.
Clarence River Ferries run a daily shuttle service across the Clarence to Yamba and two cruises per week.
The magnificent beaches and great fishing are the major drawcards for visitors. Clarence River seafood is world-renowned and the fishing fleet ensures the seafood in town is always fresh.
