Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary is located 600km north of Adelaide and 130km east of Leigh Creek, in the more rugged spectacular northern Flinders Ranges.
This 610sq km multi award-winning Wilderness Sanctuary contains some of Australias most spectacular mountain views and offers numerous Advanced Ecotourism accredited guided and unguided tours.
Arkaroola is a Mecca for bushwalkers and four wheel drivers. The spectacular Advanced Ecotourism accredited rugged 4WD Ridgetop Tour is world famous, and journeys to the depths of ancient seabeds across razor-back ridges and peaks of the Flinders Ranges most rugged mountains to the magnificent climax at Sillers Lookout.
Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary provides caravan & camping accomodation, together with a variety of motel type units and lodges, as well as a backpacker bunkhouse.
Even though we are quite remote from the nearest town, you won't miss much in the way of comfort when staying at Arkaroola. See our wide range of facilities above, and on our website.

We offer our guests a large variety of guided 4WD tours as well as offering tag-along self guided tours for those wishing to drive their own vehicles. A wide range of bushwalking, mountain-bike riding other tours activities are also available.
Arkaroolas Astronomical Observatories:
We are very fortunate indeed to have three fully equipped astronomical observatories, each located well above the Village area, to ensure your maximum night-skies viewing experience. In addition to conducting Advanced Ecotourism accredited Astronomy Tours, each of our observatories are available to professional and amateur astronomers, to visiting astronomical societies and clubs.
