Nestled between the famous Barossa Valley (20 minutes drive) Clare Valley (50 Minutes drive)wine areas, Kapunda is the oldest mining town in Australia and offers many heritage opportunities to explore.
The Kapunda Tourist & Leisure Park is located in a well shaded, quiet, peaceful central location, close to the main shopping area and Main Street. There is a large, clean amenities block, free gas barbecues and we are adjacent to a fully grassed 18 tee / 9 hole golf course.
As well as the cottages cabins, Kapunda Tourist & Leisure Parkalso boasts 42 powered sites and large open spaces (both grassed and bush setting), for unpowered camping. Large motorhomes, buses etc are welcome. Fires are allowed during non fire ban days.
While here you can discover early relics at the Historical Museum or take a Heritage Walk walk through the War Nurses Memorial or play a round of golf, relax by the duck pond or simply enjoy a fine wine from Australias premier wine district while enjoying the serenity of our park - Kapunda has it all! We cater for overnight long-term stays, and can assist you with suggestions to take in all the fantastic mines, wines and tourism destinations, as well as support you in your conquest of the nearby Mawson Heysen Trails.
