Neighbouring towns are Cleve (75 kms), Kyancutta (90 kms) and Whyalla (120 kms).

Kimba is the eastern entrance to the magnificent, rugged Gawler Ranges.

Kimba Caravan Park and Motelis located on the western side of town, adjacent to the Mobil Roadhouse.

The Kimba Motel offers comfortable single, double and twin rooms. The Caravan Park has drive-thru sites and an on site restaurant and bar facility for the use of motel and caravan park guests. Please note that pets are not permitted within the caravan park.

These areas often abound with wild flowers, native birds and other Australian wildlife such as kangaroos, emus and wombats.
