VENUS BAY - THE PLACE TO BE, RELAXATION, FISHING, SUN BATHING and MUCH MORE!
Venus Bay, considered the State’s longest sandspit has five superb surf beaches, and choice of surf, river or estuary fishing. There are great views of Andersons Inlet and an abundance of wildlife to be enjoyed.
Venus Bay is just a 15 minute drive from Inverloch, or a 25 min drive to Wonthaggi and Leongatha. Venus Bay Caravan Park is only 800 meters from the main surf beach. This beach is patrolled every day during the Summer school holidays and on weekends for the remainder of summer.
Conveniently located half way between Wilsons Promontory and Phillip Island and a short drive to the many other attractions of South Gippsland, Venus Bay Caravan Park has a spacious layout, with power, water and sullage to all of our spacious sites. Ensuite sites are also available.
All cabins and sites are set in a shady parkland setting and are suitable for either the romantic weekend away or a family beach holiday. Bike riding is encouraged within the park but helmets are essential.
We can also accommodate group bookings. The heated recreation room is ideal for meetings and social events, with adjoining electric BBQ and self-catering.
Things to see and do while staying at Venus Bay Caravan Park include:

- Travel just outside the town to five superb surf beaches patrolled by surf lifesavers in the summer months
- Fantastic fishing!
- Walk the Point Smythe Nature Trail through thick coastal vegetation,
- Stroll along the Tarwin Lower boardwalk, which follows the Tarwin River – a good spot for fishing.
- View abundant bird life and mangroves at Bald Hill wetlands
- Witness Cape Liptrap Coastal Park's strikingly beautiful scenery.
- Trek through Wilsons Promontory, the largest coastal wilderness area in Victoria
- Inverloch Farmers Market - offers fresh fruit and vegetables, held second Sunday of each month
- Try the local restaurants and cafe's
Watch out for kangaroos crossing, particularly near Fishermans Jetty and just past the viewing tower, approaching Point Smythe. Boat ramps are located at Fishermans Jetty and along the Tarwin Lower.
