Another possibility is that the tyre is meant for a road wheel with a wider base than those fitted to the vehicle. If the bead is "squashed" via a narrow road wheel, it will cause the tyre crown to bow outwards in the centre of the tread
I offer this thought as my MH has strict instructions as to what can & cannot be fitted ... I can fit 185/75s but not 175/75s as they are too narrow across the bead
