HotSnail has a number of automatic options to choose from to customise our service to suit your situation:

  • Scan Everything:
    We will open your mail and scan all scanable documents into PDF files and upload them to the HotSnail secure website. Once on the website you can read, sort, store, shred or forward them.

  • Selective Scanning:
    Choose this plan if you want to choose which mail items are opened. We will just scan the envelope for you, based on the envelope you can decide if you want us to open and scan or forward the item.

  • Forward Everything:
    If you don't want any of your documents opened, but require an easy to manage forwarding solution, this is the option for you!


You can setup forwarding rules on our website which determines the frequency items are forwarded and where to forward items on certain dates.

A Word from the Directors:

HotSnail Mail Redirection was created to fill a gap between postal mail and email, and is especially useful for people who are travelling. My father is currently circumnavigating the world in his yacht, and has worked with me extensively to develop this system for himself.

After researching the current businesses which provide mail redirection and forwarding, we found that many processes are somewhat basic and require operator interaction and are therefore costly. This brought us to the idea of creating a fully functional website, so people could completely manage their postal mail the same way they login and access their email online.

Our website allows users to perform all functions including scanning, forwarding, storing and shredding at the click of a button. Our customers can also create folders, rename documents and store their mail online like their own personal filing system, which means they don't need to risk taking important documents with them on their trips.

We have gone to great lengths to automate all procedures to ensure privacy, security, reduce manual work and simplify the pricing structure. This has allowed us to offer the service at around half the price of some of our competitors, and with a website that puts us in our own class.

    HotSnail have created an intuitive and familiar website that allows you to view your mail online, very similar to how you would check your web-based email. You can also use our website to manage your mail and update your settings and accounts online.

  • Can I be notified when I receive snail mail?
    Yes, Notifications can be setup online after you login with your username and password.

  • What if I don’t want my mail opened?
    No problem, you can choose what gets scanned, or just forward the mail. Nothing will be opened without your permission.

  • I will be moving frequently, how can I change my forwarding addresses?
    Easy,HotSnail has a forwarding area where you can enter multiple addresses and date ranges, so when planning ahead your mail can follow you wherever you travel.

  • How can I redirect my mail?
    HotSnail can arrange your mail redirection for you, if you choose to fill out that form during your registration. Alternatively, you can organise that redirection yourself or just notify your contacts of your new address. Your new address will be provided to you upon registration.

  • Can I have a physical address for receiving deliveries?
    Yes, we can provide you with a Brisbane street address upon registration, where you can send deliveries and to use for additional addressing not suitable for PO Boxes.

    There will always be someone onsite to receive deliveries from between 6am until 5pm Monday to Friday and 6am to 11am on Saturdays, except public holidays.

  • Do I need a new account for each person in my household?
    No, HotSnail allows you to have multiple logins with just one household account. Each person / login can have individual mail handling rules and/or forwarding addresses.

  • Can anyone else read my mail?
    Theoretically your mail could be read at the time of scanning, however workloads mean that mail is processed at such a rate that the operator wouldn’t have time to screen mail.

    Furthermore if you choose to set an encryption password, then your online mail item is protected (we can’t even access that online document without your password). All our staff undergo background police record checks and sign confidentiality agreements protecting your privacy.
