The Milawa Cheese Company is a small but highly regarded speciality cheese factory located in North East Victoria's famed wine region. All cheeses are hand made at the historic Milawa Butter Factory using traditional methods, without preservatives and using non-animal rennet.
David and Anne Brown started with a vision in 1988 to produce Australian farmhouse cheeses using traditional European methods.
The product range has developed into award winning cow and goat milk cheeses including the award winning: King River Gold (Champion Cheese Gold Medal 2002 ASCA Show), Milawa Brie (2003 Sydney Royal Show Gold Medal, Australian Cheeseboard Perpetual Trophy 2003), Milawa Capra (Grand Champion Australian Grand Dairy Awards 2003) and Milawa Blue (2004 Sydney ASCA Show Gold Medal).
 The Cheese -Tasting Room offers a unique opportunity to taste the full range of cheeses and preserves from the local gourmet region.

Milawa Cheese Factory Bakery
The artisan bakery compliments the award winning Milawa Cheese range. Baked Daily are a range of French and Italian Breads, sour dough and rye in a stone based oven developed by Queen's Grant baker Adam Rivett.
Bakery cakes, pastries and other snacks, along with fine coffee, wine and boutique beer are available 9.00am - 5.00pm 7 days a week.

Dine in air-conditioned comfort or enjoy the glorious North East Victorian climate on our terrace. The menu features highly acclaimed modern regional Cuisine ranging from light lunches to hearty meals.
The comprehensive wine list features many of the fine local wines as well as other renowned Australian and international options.
In awarding our restaurant One Hat for 2005 The Age Good Food Guide said "few regional restaurants offer such a creative celebration of local produce as this one".
