Fortunately the park has been laid out with the camper and not the banker in mind, ie the sites haven’t been squeezed in at all. All of the powered sites are within about 40 meters of the amenities block (which is never locked) and all have direct access to beautiful clean water. Many sites are also surrounded by low trees which can act as a wind break. There are about 42 powered sites available on the park, and most sites can handle any length van or mobile home with ease.

Somerset Beachside Cabin Caravan Park is just 6 kilometres from Burnie, and 40 minutes from Spirit of Tasmania Terminus. A great base from which to explore the coast.

Our Burnie accommodation options include individual chalet style cabins in lovely secluded tree-lined surroundings all with ensuite, sleeping up to 4 persons. The Chalets feature cooking facilities, colour TV and parking right outside. Linen is provided.

Our level, larger than average powered sites all have sullage water easy access with most sites drive through. We also have unpowered tent sites, all in a lovely secluded garden setting adjacent to a sandy beach views to Table Cape. Plenty of room for large vans and motorhomes, and well behaved pets are welcome!

Somerset Beachside Cabin and Caravan Park has a gorgeous ambiance is full of small nooks and crannies to explore.

The Two Oaks Cafe on the same site as the caravan park is housed in a handcrafted three story building made of Tasmanian native timbers and local basalt rock and has a wonderful coastal vista. A range of Tasmanian made products are available in the gift shop which focuses on local product.

The Two Oaks Cafe is open for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea featuring fresh Tasmanian produce. Serving freshly ground espresso coffee and a delectable range of fare for you to enjoy.
