CIA VIC appoints New Industry Development Manager with strong compliance skills

The Caravan Industry Association of Victoria, (CIA VIC) has appointed Daniel Sahlberg to the new position of Industry Development Manager. He will also assist with the ongoing implementation of CIA VIC's Industry Blueprint in conjunction with the Blueprint Working Group.

Daniel Sahlberg conducted compliance audits at the recent Victorian Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow.

In May 2014 Daniel Sahlberg invited GoSee to join him in working through a RVMA compliance audit at Kingdom Caravans in 'Darkest' Campellfield, Victoria.

This was a perfect fit in view of the Transitional Caravan Industry Association of Australia (CIAAust) board being in place at the time to oversee the merging of operations of Caravan, RV & Accommodation Industry of Australia (CRVA) and RVM Australia.

GSA supports this industry commitment to compliance.

GSA believes two essentials need to be addressed by manufacturers and major industry bodies if the Australian caravan industry is to move forward to compliance which gives buyers and industry assurance of a consistently quality product.

With the core elements of my position focused on industry and industry personal development, I'm looking forward to assisting the industry and its people with the evolution and upskilling of the current workforce, he said today

CIA VIC CEO Rob Lucas said: We aretrying to achieve greater services for our members and with Daniel on board now, with his experience and his ability to understand the industry really well, we are in a much better place to offer better services to our members.

Daniel has extensive experience in the industry, especially in compliance and technical advice, and has built strong and long-standing relationships with regulators at a state and national level through his time at Windsor Caravans and RVMA .

Over the last few years, CIA VIC has been building and implementing more services to drive growth in the industry and Daniel's appointment compliments this.

Daniel will be responsible for five key areas:

Implementing and managing CIA VIC's accreditation programs.

Show compliance.

Providing technical advice and information for members and editing CIA VIC's new eNewsletter Caravan Tech Talk.

Establishing and managing CIA VIC's new National Caravan Industry Training College.
