Chairman of Tourism Australia, The Honourable Tim Fischer AC, officially launched GoSeeAustralia into growth phase on May 31 2005 as he opened our new head office at 69 Tennant St, Fyshwick, ACT and impressed a high powered guest list of caravanning and industry professionals with his practical knowledge of touring Australia.

Tim Fischer is a passionate spokesman for regional Australia and his on the ground experience shines through. He told guests at the launch about the marketing success of selling stock whips to city dwellers, although he admitted he was surprised at what seemed to be herds of cattle in international CBDs.

On home ground he offered advice on a Cooma tour which he guaranteed did not include a risk of bogging while Snowy site-seeing.

His prediction for the role we play is now proven - Companies like ContACT Internet Solutions and its subsidiary GoSeeAustralia are vital outlets for Australias tourism message, Tim Fischer said.

Once again GoSeeAustralia is in a huge growth spurt. GoSeeAustralia now has excellent analysis which shows beyond doubt that tourist information is being sourced at a high level through the Internet within Australia and by a big International internet user audience.

That is a big benefit for travellers in Australia and caravan parks as bookings which are made Online remove any confusion about the accommodation which is provided, its costs, benefits and timing.

GoSeeAustralia passed 5 million hits in January 2005 with a high commendation from NetGuide magazine in the Best Lifestyle/Leisure site category of their Web Awards based on reader votes.
