Ladybird Secret 16, A Fake Lady. A wooden smile that doesn't reach the eyes. Earnest words that turn out to be lies. It's not always easy to spot a fake, but the big clue is no give and all take.
Ladybird secret 19. Feel Free. No need to go far or to endlessly roam. The heart that's inside you is the place to call home.
I have been granted special permission from the International Council of Ladybirds, as chief propBUGanderist, to reveal their secrets in the hope this will lead to greater understanding of charismatic mini-fauna and a lessening of toxic pesticides (Leaving more aphids for them to eat!) The former International catwalk photographer Jane says.
Jane started her photographic career when her mother fashion icon Liz Davenport visited her in London and left her camera behind. Liz overshopped on shoes and there just wasn't room in her suitcase for the camera.
Jane says London Fashion Week was happening and she snuck in with the camera. She found the models are as beautiful as they look and she loved photography. Liz did not get the camera back.
A Ladybird for every rose
Now she has changed focus from catwalks and that kind of social butterfly to the show-ponies of the garden. She has created the Ladybird Chronicals a 70m long story which looks into the lives of the plants and insect world of our gardens.
Jane is also the Horticultural Media Association's Young Achiever and the recipient of the Joy Harland Memorial Photography Award.
She is also the Director of the not for profit Youniverse Foundation for environmental education and designs her own Fashion label.
My hope is that these lovely little ladies inspire you to undertake your own metamorphic process and stun the world with your own sparkling sophistication! she says.I hope the ladybirds bring you luck for the rest of the day, Jane Davenport says.
And there is a special message from the Ladybirds - With a Ladylike Wave to go with it:
Lisa gives a Ladylike Wave Rhododendron Gardens Olinda
Goodbye and good luck that's what to say when a lovely lady gets on her way. Please don't chant that dreadful rhyme about houses burning and getting home on time. Instead make a wish as she flies through the flowers, you might get hit with her lucky charm powers!
From Melbourne it is an easy drive along Burwood Hwy, Maroondah Hwy or Canterbury Rd to Mt Dandenong Tourist Rd.
