Latest caravan & camping industry guides provide information to tour, tow NSW and Australia

The latest editions of the popular NSW Caravan & Camping Holiday & Touring Guide, NSW Caravan, Camping & RV Products & Services Buyers Guide and National Caravan and Recreational Vehicle Towing Guide, published by the Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSWs (CCIA), are ready for touring enthusiasts to pickup for FREE.

NSW Caravan Camping Holiday Touring Guide

Tailored for the touring public, the NSW Caravan Camping Holiday Touring Guide (Holiday Touring Guide) features 18 regions across New South Wales with detailed listings of caravan and holiday parks along with facilities and local attractions and events in the region.

In addition, the Holiday Touring Guide includes listings of caravan and camping products and touring services for travellers to easily source the recreational vehicle or product they desire.

Caravan and camping holidays offer something for every budget and the Holiday and Touring Guide provides information to help travellers choose their ideal holiday destination and stay at one of the many caravan and holiday parks on the coast or the outback, Barry Baillie, Chief Executive Officer, CCIA said today.

Whether it is staying in a cabin, camping in a tent or parking the caravan on motorhome on a roomy ensuite site, the Holiday Touring Guide is a valuable resource to help travellers identify the facilities and activities offered by each caravan or holiday park.

Many caravan and holiday parks now cater for larger motorhomes and RVs and feature internet and dump point facilities. The Holiday Touring Guide lists all these facilities and more as one handy and user friendly guide.

In addition, parks which have a greater focus on environmental practices by progressing through the CCIAs Gumnut Awards certification program are identified in the Holiday Touring Guide with a Gumnut Award logo of the level of Gumnut Award achieved (Bronze, Silver or Gold).

The Holiday Touring Guide will be available at the end of January 2009 for FREE at CCIA caravan and holiday park members, Visitor Information Centres throughout NSW and at various Caravan and Camping Shows held across Australia. Mail orders via www.caravan-camping.com.au or by calling CCIA on 02 9615 9999, incur a $5 postage and handling charge.

To ensure the reliability of the Towing Guide, nine technical experts with many years of collective towing experience have offered their advice and comments during the development of the content for the publication.

The Towing Guide is a must have guide for anyone who is towing a caravan or trailer. It provides practical and useful information in an easy to read format with information that will ensure tourers have a fuss-free towing holiday, Barry Baillie, Chief Executive Officer, Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSW (CCIA) said.

The Towing Guide covers topics such as:

Definitions of the different recreational vehicles available for towing and definitions of certain industry terminology, the legal requirements for towing, the tow vehicle, couplings and associated parts, braking systems, tyres, towing a trailer of all kinds, preparation for towing, and facts about insurance.
