Canterbury New Zealand National Motorhome and Caravan Expo builds on holiday at home growth

The South Island New Zealand National Motorhome and Caravan Expo at Canterbury Agricultural Park, Christchurch reflects the strong trans-Tasmangrowth which continuesin New Zealand and Australia in the RV and camping lifestyle. RV buyers of motorhomes, campervans, caravans and campers, 5th wheelers and tents are determined to get the best out of life..

The Christchurch Expo was packed to the rafters with camping options as Expo-goers moved on from international economic gloom-sayers and got on with taking their holidays on home ground. Leisure Line sold all the caravans they had on the Expo site by the end of the second day of the Expo.

The enthusiasm for the South Island Expo is overwhelming, Event CEO Norm Evans told GoSee today. Weekend figures from the Expo were up at 17,700. This vote of confidence came despite the Sunday of the Expo being cold, wet and windy. The temperature did not top 8 degerees all day on the Sunday.

Something which is certainly worth a look at for RV campers is the Motor home Battery Charger on offer.

Innovative Energies said theSR250K12X is a charger designed specifically for use in motorhomes. Based on the well proven industry standard SR250A12X the K model is fast becoming the must have house battery charger used by many New Zealand camper home manufacturers.

The most attractive feature of the SR250K12X is that it will operate at full rated power without the need for cooling fans which ensures that motor home users will not be disturbed by annoying fan noise in the middle of the night!

We understand that even the most brilliant amongst us can make mistakes so we have included a front panel mounted, reverse battery protection fuse,Matt Jones ofInnovative Energies NZtold GoSee.

If the unthinkable occurs and a new battery is connected backwards to your house system no damage occurs to the charger or the associated charger cabling and the fuse is quickly and easily replaced, he said.

Matt Jones said Innovative Energies only recommends one particular brand of inverter. This is after 15 years of dealing with inverters installed in vehicles, he said. Email:
