Caulfield Caravan Camping and Touring Supershow brings out RV buyers

The Victorian Caravan Camping and Touring Supershow at Caulfield brought out buyers Peter Wright Executive Officer Caravan Trade & Industries Association of Victoria and Supershow Organisersaid today.

The early timing (March rather than May) brought out the buyers and certainly caught most exhibitors by surprise. Never in the history of our Association have we witnessed this hunger for our RV products and accessories.

Leading caravan dealers told GoSee that they were particularly pleased with their Supershow sales results.

I guess the time of year is spot on whereas previously most caravanners (generically speaking) had made arrangements for their winter migration or had already headed north, Peter Wright said.

Interestingly the warm weather kept many visitors outside as numbers were down in the seminars and various levels of the main grandstand. We can learn from this and change a few things for next year, he said.

About 60,000 visitors attended slightly down on last year.

The result provesonce again that thecaravan, camping and motorhome industry is the fastest growing tourism sector in Australia.

Peter Wright of CIAVIC said - Between eight and 10 percent is the Recreational Vehicle industry annual growth for the past 10 years with about 18,000 units produced each year. Industry research shows 15,000 Australians are on an extended road holiday at any one time, he said.

Victorias annual Caravan Camping Touring Supershowwhich closed at Caulfield Racecourseon Sunday 14 Marchshowed thelatest range of caravans, pop tops, tent/camper trailers, motorhomes, campervans, 5th wheelers, slide-ons, 4x4 displays and touring accessories.

More than 400 Recreational Vehicle models showed off the latest luxurious Australian motorhomes and caravans 10km from Melbourne CBD.

The showwas just huge this year witheight new caravan brands, aroundfive new camper trailers and Repcois attended for the first time, Peter Wright said.

The Victorian Caravan Show featured hundreds of exhibitors displaying the latest models and products from all around the world.

Caravans, motorhomes, campervans, camper trailers, off-road recreational vehicles and 4-wheel drives are geared for an outdoor lifestyle.

Therewas also a huge range of tents and camping equipment for the whole family. Plus accessories for caravanning, camping or 4-wheel driving holidays.

The Caulfield Caravan Camping and Touring Supershow had free childrens entertainment all weekend.

The Caulfield Racecourse Grandstand had manybooths with information on tourism destinations all around Victoria.

Free guideswere available.

Visitors learned about Australias best holiday and caravan parks, and talked to experts about guided and self-drive tours.

Thetfords toilet additive Aqua Kem Green particularly impresses GoSee with its European award winning performance. The biological action of Aqua Kem Green means that micro-organisms biologically break down the toilet waste in the tank. It is particularly suitable when emptying the waste tank into septic on camp sites.

Thetford, has been awarded the stringent German Environmental Certificate Blue Angel for its Aqua Kem Green and Aqua Rinse products by the German Federal Environmental Agency.

The award recognises environmental consciousness in toilet additives and a committment to avoid adverse effects on sewage treatment plants.

None of Thetford's toilet additives Green Blue or Pink Rinse include formaldahyde.

Thetford says that Aqua Kem Green acts for a maximum of three to four days with average use. Aqua Chem Blue lasts four to five days with average use, Thetford said.

GoSee thinks it is important to choose a portable toilet and chemical products which are a complete solution and absolutely the best quality available. Which is why GoSee is proud to have Thetford as one of its sponsors.
