By George our GoSee TravelSmart Club Member Bumper Sticker hits Australia's roads

This GoSeers logo is in response to requests in January from TravelSmart Club members.

Now 'Out There' Bumper Stickers and Mouse Mats for GoSee TravelSmart Club members are available on the new Shopping GoSee option. It is the18th button down on the left of the GoSee Home Page.

Winner of four of Australian journalisms peak Walkley Awards, cartoonist George Haddon has created a quirky, lively, colorful, fun message for GoSee TravelSmart Club members in the Bumper Sticker and the Mouse Mat design.

George Haddon was voted the Australian Cartoonists Association Cartoonist of the Year in 2004.

GoSeers who want to assist the Royal Flying Doctor service can buy a GoSee TravelSmart Club sticker online using the GoSee Shopping Cart for $1 and GoSee will send two Bumper Stickers. The money paid will go to the RFD to help the work they do to aid Australians in remote places.

The GoSee Shopping Cart option button is 18th down on the left of the Home Page. Just give it a click and follow the prompts.

Bumper Stickersare available from the GoSee Shopping cart on-line for a nominal price to cover GoSeeAustralia's production costs.

GoSee mouse mats are available at $8.80 each on the GoSeeAustralia Shopping Cart.

A GSA Supporter's pack of a mouse mat and five bumper stickers costs $10. The GoSee Supporters Pack consists of One Mouse Mat and five Bumper Stickers, (enough for GoSeers cars, caravan and boat).

If there are any left over pass on the GoSee TravelSmart message to a mate and get them out there on the road with the rest of us.

George Haddon joined The Herald newspaper in Melbourne in 1959 as an editorial designer and rose to becoming art director.

His drawing assignments with The Herald in the 1970's led him to travel widely in Australia and internationally.

He resigned from The Herald in 1979 to set up a freelance graphic design, cartoon and illustration studio.

The (Melbourne Herald) editor - Pat Hinton, wanted me to continue doing stuff, so The Herald became my first client and 'By George', a daily sports cartoon was born, George said.

Then followed the daily editorial/political cartoon through most of the '80s until after Eric Beecher took over - about 1987, George Haddon said today.

George is a brilliant cartoonist who turns words into images as he is briefed. He used this unique ability to meet the driven four edition deadlines a day of Melbourne's 500,000 copies daily world class broadsheet newspaper.

Journalism on the now defunct, frantically time poor Herald, was like flying a fighter plane in combat - extremely hard on the nerves, but By George, Haddon came through among the aces.

The new GoSeers fun TravelSmart Club Members Logo is typical of George in that it isnotably good with a quirky edge to it. More so because it has been produced against a particularly difficult brief requiring it to be all things to road travellers.

One of the core requirements is that it be timeless. It alsoreflects Australia's love of road travel. Then it needed to be ageless, fun and colorful.

George who is noted for his beautiful watercolor skills nailed the colors along with the rest. Now freelance, George Haddon can be contacted atwww.georgehaddon.com.au

Free membership of GoSee TravelSmart Club extends the key benefits which clicked the idea of free touring websites to assist travellers in Australia and New Zealand and the caravanning industry into action seven years ago..

As a registered member of the GoSee TravelSmart Club members have access to additional features they include Hayman Reese based Towing Compatibility information and monthly prizes.

For the first time on a public website caravan towing weight checks used by professionals are available online to GoSee TravelSmart Club Members through Hayman Reese and their industry data.

A touring aid is a spread-sheet fuel calculator. The spread-sheet is linked to the popular GoSee Fuel Calculator (just click TravelSmart Good Stuff option on the left of the Home Page).

It is designed to give TravelSmart Club members the ability to use the speadsheet over 10 fills.

GoSee believes this gives a better range for a running average of fuel performance.

With a 10 fill spread calculation headwinds, hills, road surface, hot weather, different drivers and varied loads and weights are better covered in producing an actual average outcome.

Our designers worked with towing equipment icon Hayman Reese to create a quick-click comparison against tow vehicle model and caravan weight. The result is a safe towball load with links to equipment designed for the long-haul.

It's free, easy to use and helps anyone tour Australia safely.
