Yiwarra Kuju: Canning Stock Route is Australia's voyage through Inner Space

The history and culture of the Aboriginal people along the longest historic stock route in the world is explored at the National Museum of Australia until 26 January.

Spanning almost two thousand kilometres through Western Australias desert country, the Canning Stock Route is a place where Indigenous and non-Indigenous histories intersect.

This exceptional archive, includes 116 paintings, contemporary cultural objects and documentary material collected by 60 artists who travelled along the Route in 2007.

The collection is regarded as one of the most important the Museum has ever acquired.

Editor's Note:
GoSee includes some of our own impressions of the voyage through Inner Space Canning Stock Route experience in 2009.
