The Caravan Industry Association of Victoria (CIA) put the icing on the cake at the 10th annual Bendigo RV and Camping Leisurefest today. CIA President Peter May presented a cheque for $5000 to Maureen Considine Fund treasurer Tom Dobeli. The fund works to support permanent accommodation for adults with intellectual disabilities.
The CIA's latest donation means they have give $50,000 to Bendigo charities over 10 years.
Tom Dobeli said the fund was established in 2006 soon after Maureen lost her battle with cancer, to fulfill this part of Maureen's work to support people with a disability and their families.
"These funds will help to achieve Maureen's objective of buiding home-like accommodation in Bendigo for adults with an intellectual disability", he said.
