A very big thank you to all those readers who took the time to nominate their favourite Web sites in this years Australian Web Awards. It has been heartening to see how youve got behind our move to acknowledge the excellence of the many great Australian Web sites out there.

We received almost 4,000 site nominations and discovered some great Aussie sites during the judging process. You will find more information on many of them in the Home grown page of our Top 40 section in coming months.

Unfortunately, they couldnt all be winners and choosing only five finalists in each category was an incredibly difficult task. Indeed, you will see that in a few categories it was so difficult deciding on the final five that we have acknowledged those sites that missed out by the slimmest of margins with a highly commended award (see December issue of NetGuide magazine).

Its great to see so many people around Australia using the information, products and services, tours and attractions, on-line caravan park bookings and planning their trips with

Thanks so much from all of us at GoSeeAustralia and ContACT Internet Solutions for everyones support and thanks also, to NetGuide Magazine for undertaking such an award. Stats
