RV industry  releases for Caulfield Supershow include new Goldstream 20th Anniversary  models

Over six days visitors to Victoria's Caravan, Camping and Touring Supershow can check out the latest products and innovations the Australian caravan, motorhome, camping and associated industries have to offer.

This includes Goldstreams 20th Anniversary new models.

The Supershow includes the Labour Day long weekend. It runs from Thursday March 7 to finish on Tuesday March 12 The range of products includes caravans, pop-tops, camper trailers, 5th wheelers, motorhomes, campervans, 4x4 off-road and touring accessories. Plus there are tents and camping equipment, fishing tackle to swags and right down to boots.

Organisers the Caravan Industry Australia (Victorian Trades Division) say more than 400 Recreactional Vehicle (RV) models will be at the Supershow.

For children there is a wild animal park, safe fun rides, play equipment and plenty for them to do and see. The Kids Zone is open on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and is now at both ends of Caulfield Racecourse, with free entertainment, rides, face painting + arts and crafts.

There are hands on displays, things to touch, taste and try as well as give-aways, gifts and prizes including the Passport To Freedom competition where showgoers could win a Bolwell RV Air Camper including on-road costs valued at $35,990.

In the Grandstand information on tourism destinations all around Victoria is available. Pick up free guides, learn all about Australias best holiday and caravan parks, and talk to experts about guided and self-drive tours.

Free Seminars in the Seminar Room, Level 2 Caulfield Grandstand.

Visitors can also attend informative free seminars daily hosted by industry experts and celebrities.

Speakers delivered seminars on the hour from 10.30am to 3.30pm (2.30pm Tues) on everything needed to hit the camping road prepared.

On site 373 Goldstream RV has a new release of 20th year Anniversary Models in camper trailer, pop top and caravan units. Modular furniture uses the latest in lightweight ply double-sided ply veneers, and new exterior composite panels, decals, lighting and upholstery. GoSeeAustralia attended a new model launch by Goldstream in the Melbourne suburb of Pakenham.

Goldstream started production with their Gold Wing campers in their first building called the Chook Shed in Pakenham 20 years ago. Business partners and owners Steve Petrovich (Owner of 20 years and Manager) Russell Willmott (Production Manager) and Shaun Noble (Dealer Network Manager) welcomed visitors and guests and thanked staff for their loyalty at the launch.

The business grew over the years and moved to their current factory site in Bald Hills Rd, Pakenham in 2000 producing Campers, Pop Tops and caravans.

In 2010 Goldstream extended into the new building at 12 Endrey Crt Pakenham in 2010 incorporating Administration, RM, Insurance works and accessories shop.

Goldstream's new direction for the coming five years has seen them introduce equipment which will help increase production along with a bench top roller to improve quality to create a home, kitchen, bathroom and laundry feel to their whole range Steve Petrovich said. The new composite Aluminium panel production allows an exciting, wider and cleaner range of interior and exterior colours.

Caravan Trade Industries Association of Victoria Chief Executive Officer, Robert Lucas, said he was was excited with Goldstream's 20th anniversary saying the performance of the RV Industry in Victoria has prompted Tourism Victoria to move forward with RV Industry caravanning and camping over the next two years. In Victorian caravanning and camping puts $1.4b into the economy with the industry employing 5,000 people. 85 percent of caravan, camper and motorhome manufacturing occurs in Victoria. Victoria has the highest number of registered RV's - 131,000, he said.

Cardinia Shire Mayor, Cr Brett Owen congratulated Goldstream on their achievement and commercial value to the shire. Now with Goldstream, Avan and Jurgens, Pakenham is the third largest shire in Australia manufacturing caravans and Recreational Vehicles. Caravanning and camping is all about family holidays and fun together Mayor Owen said.

Train: 3 minutes walk from Caulfield Train Station on the Cranbourne / Pakenham / Frankston /Stony Point Lines

Tram: Only minutes from Number 3 Tram. Caulfield Racecourse is located on the Frankston/Dandenong train line and trains depart at least every 20 minutes from Flinders Street Station in Melbourne. Caulfield train station is only a few hundred metres from the racecourse. The No 3 tram travels regularly from Flinders Street Train Station and takes around 35 minutes.
