Caravanning industry moves for single national body

A working group is being established with representatives from the Caravan RV and Accommodation Industry of Australia (CRVA) and RVM Australia Ltd (RVMA) to form a new integrated body to represent the caravanning and camping industry.

Duplication of roles by industry bodies at a national level is a key issue a joint statement by CRVA and RVMA said today.

A new single entity to advocate industry needs and directions is seen as both a powerful and effective options among industry leaders.

There are many advantages in the development of a single national body, not least of which is strong advocacy to Government, with one united voice on industry issues, the statement said.

Duplication of roles at national level was one of the key items discussed at the recent industry summit.

The individual boards of the Caravan RV and Accommodation Industry of Australia Ltd (CRVA) and RVM Australia Ltd (RVMA) have committed to working together to form a new integrated body to represent the caravanning and camping industry in Australia.

In the meantime both CRVA and RVMA will operate as normal, the statement said.
