CCIA forecasts 24,000 plus attendance for Newcastle Caravan and Camping Expo

Lyndel Gray, CEO of the Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSW (CCIA) says thatstrong attendance at the Newcastle Caravan and Camping Expo over the three days of its operation isforecast. CCIA will host its first caravanning and camping expo for the year at the NewcastleEntertainment Centre and Showground from Friday 7 Sunday 9 February.

The Newcastle Caravan and Camping Expo has become a pivotal event on the Hunter and CentralCoast events calendar, and we are anticipating attendees to exceed 24,000, Lyndel Gray said.

The Newcastle Expo attracts visitors from all over the Central Coast, North Coast, Hunter andSydney areas. The event continues to be popular because it provides the opportunity to view andcompare products, prices and holiday destinations, all in the one location.

Results demonstrate that caravanning and camping holidays in NSW are continuing to have strongappeal. According to recent research; visitors to caravan parks increased by 20 per cent over the past12 months, she said.

The Newcastle Expo will showcase 180 RV, camping, accessory and holiday destination displays,making it the perfect place to check out all the latest products and equipment.

The Newcastle Caravan, Camping and Holiday Expo is open every day from February 7 9, from9am-5pm (closes 4pm Sunday). Adult tickets are $10, Senior and Concession Card Holders $6 andchildren 16 years and under accompanied by a paying adult are free.
