Up to 60,000sq.m. available to exhibitors says CIAVic Supershow Manager

CIAVic Melbourne Showgrounds Supershow Manager Scott Leahy says up to 60,000 sq. m. ofexhibition space is available in the first year for the 2015 Melbourne Caravan, Camping Touring Supershow.

At a presentation in the Boulevard Pavilion at the Showgrounds on Wednesday he said his aim wasto get the maximum benefit possible for industry from the display space provided by Melbourne'sbiggest 19 hectare exhibition venue. The Boulevard Pavilion is earmarked for 4WD in initialplanning.

Two Orientation seminars, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon got strong supportfrom caravaning and camping industry representatives.

Business Development Manager for Moretonhire Monique Cribb and Business Relationships and

Development Manager at Melbourne Showgrounds Geordie Thoms supported Scott Leahy in athorough presentation on the initial footprint of exhibitors at the new Showgrounds venue.

Scott Leahy said that nothing was set in concrete in terms of actual space allocation for exhibitorsat the new show which runs six days from Feb 11 to 16, 2015 at Royal Melbourne Showgrounds.

But, he said, he was exploring fresh or expanded attractions and exhibits.

This includes anglingand 4WD. He said research also indicates an opportunity to expand into a food and wine pavilion, he said.

Public parking with be at nearby Flemington Racecourse supported by a shuttle bus service forpatrons.

He said he was working with Metro Trains to extend rail services to the Showgrounds beyond theweekend.

Initial exhibitor parking at the Showgrounds caters for up to 1000 vehicles Development Managerat Melbourne Showgrounds Geordie Thoms said as industry delegates walked the Showgroundsexhibition footprint. There is disabled parking at the Showgrounds.
