Travellers Rest Caravan and Camping Park is located on absolute tropical beach front midway between Mackay and Airlie Beach on the shores of Repulse Bay on the Whitsundays.
Set on 60 hectares of semi-tropical forest, Travellers Rest Caravan and Camping Park is well shaded under the large canopy. The beach is only a short walk away.
We have a lovely walk leading to the lagoon where there are many species of water birds and animal life. The whole area is a haven for bird watchers and other wildlife abounds.
There is a local IGA Supermarket which has fuel also nearby. The local Tavern offers beautiful meals, and internet cafe which may be be used by visitors.
Travellers Rest Caravan and Camping Park offers Deluxe cabins with ensuite bathroom, and Melanesian cabins with shared bathrooms. The cabins are equipped with all utensils and cooking facilities, supplied with linen to the main bed, with an additional cost for other linen required. Tea and coffee making facilities are available as well as television, fridge and air-conditioning.
Ample powered and unpowered sites are available for caravanners and campers.

From the south turn right at Bloomsbury and travel 18kms to this tropical paradise. From the north turn left at Laguna Quays sign and travel 15kms to the beautiful tranquil village of Midge Point.
